We’re looking for a Senior Full-Stack Team Leader with proven track record of managing teams in an agile environment who loves shipping fast, owning big pieces of the stack, and building modern cloud services from the ground up. If TypeScript is your native language, you know AWS inside out, you’ll fit right in. You’ll work across product and infrastructure, help level up our engineering practices, and take a key role in shaping how we build, deploy, and scale. Team-leading and mentoring skills are a must.

We help our clients in the automotive sector, including automakers and fleet operators, to unlock the value of their vehicle data and make informed decision through insights delivered to them through our systems. Our solution combines cutting-edge AI-based analytics software, advanced data analytics, and extensive experience in the commercial vehicles industry telematics. By performing deep learning both onboard vehicles and in the cloud, Questar's technology can predict potential issues before they occur, enabling proactive management of maintenance, drivers, and mission, reducing TCO.
Questar system is deployed in 20 countries and some of the largest OEMs & Teir1 are part of the company customers.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and mentor a small, high-impact full-stack team (backend, frontend, DBA, DevOps).
- Build product-facing microservices and full-stack features in TypeScript.
- Drive features end-to-end, from idea to production, and help define engineering standards across the board.
- Keep our environments rock-solid — secure, observable, cost-efficient, and resilient.
- Debug tricky production issues across both infrastructure and application layers.
- Continuously improve how we build: CI/CD, DevOps, documentation, workflows, and everything in between.

What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
- At least 8 years of industry experience out of which minimum 3-5 years as Full Stack Team Leader
- 5+ years hands-on TypeScript building and running real systems on AWS— MUST
- Strong experience designing and owning end-to-end systems (frontend → backend → infrastructure) - MUST
- Proven leadership of a technical stream or major product area – MUST
- Strong CI/CD background (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI, etc.).
- Strong API design skills (REST / event-driven architectures) - MUST
- Strong PostgreSQL experience — schema design, data modeling, indexing, and query optimization for production workloads – MUST
- Experience with Docker & Kubernetes.
- Deep understanding of core AWS services.
- Experience leading virtual teams
- Strong communication skills — able to explain complex systems clearly – MUST
- A “get it done” attitude, high ownership, and comfort moving fast.
- High proficiency in English
- Experience in providing development estimations for complicated tasks
- Experience with Pulumi/Terraform/CDK for automated, scalable AWS infrastructure
- Familiarity with serverless, microservices, or event-driven architectures
- Knowledge of AWS networking (VPC, subnets, routing, NAT, security groups)
- Strong security mindset: IAM, secrets management, least privilege
- Exposure to DevSecOps tools (Snyk, GuardDuty, Prisma Cloud, etc.)
- Experience with monitoring/observability tools (CloudWatch, Datadog, Prometheus/Grafana)
- Knowledge of AWS cost-optimization and/or compliance frameworks (SOC2/ISO)
- Full-time role, hybrid — at least 3 days a week in the office.
- Based in Herzliya, Israel.
